Proper maintenance of the tracks is essential to ensure the performance of the crawler transporter and extend its service life. Here are some basic maintenance measures:
Regular inspection: Regularly check the wear of the tracks, including chain links, pins, guide wheels and other parts, and replace the severely worn parts in time to prevent the damage from expanding.
Clean up foreign objects: After each use, remove foreign objects such as soil, stones, branches and other foreign objects attached to the tracks to prevent these materials from accelerating the wear of the tracks or getting stuck in the rotating parts and causing damage.
Lubrication maintenance: Regularly apply grease to the movable joints, guide wheels and supporting wheels of the tracks to reduce friction and wear and keep the rotation smooth.
Adjust the tension: The tension of the track will affect its working performance and life. Too loose will cause the track to fall off or slip, and too tight will increase wear. The tension of the track should be adjusted regularly according to the standards recommended by the manufacturer.
Avoid excessive load: Overloading will increase the wear of the track and transmission system. Ensure that the vehicle is operated according to the maximum load limit to protect the track from unnecessary damage.
Storage conditions: When not in use for a long time, place the track in a dry and ventilated place to avoid direct sunlight and rain erosion. Apply protective oil to the surface to prevent rust.
