Safety operating procedures

Inspection before starting

1. Clean the dirt and debris on the equipment every shift; check whether the appearance of the equipment is intact, and whether there is abnormal damage such as deformation and cracks.

2. Check whether the walking mechanism is deformed or cracked; whether the connecting bolts are loose or lost; whether the drive gear block, supporting roller, guide wheel, and support roller are worn beyond the limit.

3. Check whether the lubrication of each part is good.

4. Check whether there is leakage in each part, whether the connecting bolts of each part are loose, broken, or lost; whether the accessories are complete.

5. Check the engine oil level, coolant level, battery electrolyte level, etc.

6. Check whether the instruments, indicators and indicator lights are complete and intact.

Startup

1. Before starting the engine, the inspection items for each shift must be completed.

2. After the engine is started, it should be idled for 3 to 5 minutes to check whether the engine has any abnormal noise, odor, abnormal vibration and leakage, and observe whether the color of the engine exhaust is normal.

3. Check the diesel and hydraulic oil volume and oil pressure.

4. After the engine is started, if the oil pressure is still abnormal after 6 seconds, it should be turned off immediately for inspection.

Operation

1. Do not drive or operate immediately after starting a cold vehicle, and do not operate at full load before the engine water temperature is below 60℃.

2. The engine idling time shall not exceed 15 minutes.

3. There must be a ground commander when the crawler transporter is operating, who is responsible for the safety of the crawler transporter operation.

4. Check whether there are people and obstacles in front, behind, left and right of the vehicle before starting, and sound the horn to indicate.

5. When driving, control the speed range according to the load conditions, and do not ride on stones and other materials that are higher than the chassis.

6. During driving, no one is allowed to get on or off the equipment, and no one is allowed to stand outside the cab for maintenance and other work. No other unrelated personnel are allowed to ride, and no one is allowed to ride anywhere outside the cab.

7. During operation, if the engine temperature is too high, the operation should be stopped, and the engine should not be turned off. Let the engine idle until the temperature drops to the normal range; if the temperature is high frequently, the engine fan belt and air filter should be checked, and the dust around the engine and the radiator should be cleaned. If the problem still cannot be solved, the maintenance personnel should be asked to check.
