Crawler Tractor Maintenance Guide

1. Crawler Tractor Daily Maintenance (Before/After Each Shift)
A. Track System Inspection

Tension Adjustment: Measure track sag (standard: 20-40mm). Over-tension accelerates wear; under-tension risks derailment.
Debris Removal: Clear mud/stones between track plates.
Wear & Crack Check: Inspect chain links, pins, and rollers for excessive wear or cracks.

B. Lubrication

Apply high-temperature grease to guide wheels, rollers, and sprockets.
Verify Crawler Tractor slewing bearing gear lubrication.

C. Fluid & Filters

Engine/Hydraulic Oil: Check Crawler Tractor levels (cold engine); top up if below the mark.
Crawler Tractor Air Filter: Clean dust with compressed air (never wash paper filters); replace if damaged.

D. Chassis Cleaning

Wash mud off tracks and undercarriage after operation to prevent corrosion.

2. Crawler Tractor Scheduled Maintenance (By Operating Hours/Seasons)
Interval Key Tasks
50 hrs: Replace engine oil & filter; inspect track bolt torque.
250 hrs: Replace hydraulic oil filter; check track plate bolts & roller fasteners.
500 hrs: Replace air/fuel filters; measure track chain elongation (replace if >3%).
1,000 hrs: Replace hydraulic oil; inspect guide wheel/sprocket bearings; calibrate steering/brakes.
Seasonal: Replace coolant; check battery terminals; apply anti-rust oil to tracks before storage.

3. Crawler Tractor Critical Components: In-Depth Maintenance
A. Track Assembly

Wear Criteria: Replace if pin sleeves exhibit >50% circumferential "glossy" wear.
Re-Tensioning: Adjust new tracks after 100 hrs (initial ~2% elongation occurs).

B. Rollers & Sprockets

Inspect seals every 500 hrs; replace oil seals immediately if leaking.
Abnormal noise? Shutdown immediately – likely bearing failure.

C. Undercarriage Frame

Check balance beam hinge clearance (adjust shims if >5mm).
Perform weld joint crack testing periodically.

4. Crawler Tractor Emergency Protocols & Prohibited Actions
Critical Emergencies:

Track Derailment:
DO NOT restart! Use a jack + pry bar to reposition.
Hydraulic Leak/Rupture:
Shut engine off IMMEDIATELY! Bleed system pressure before repair.

Prohibited Practices:

❌ Flush rubber tracks with diesel (accelerates aging).
❌ Adjust track tension on slopes.
❌ Mix hydraulic oil brands.

5. Crawler Tractor Long-Term Storage
Clean & store indoors on dry ground; suspend tracks off the floor.
Set hydraulic levers to "FLOAT" position to relieve seal pressure.
Run engine monthly for 10 mins to maintain lubrication.
