Thanks to its compact size, crawler excavators can maximize their production capacity in narrow urban working spaces, making great contributions to saving manpower and material resources. They are suitable for urban and rural construction, landscaping, cable equipment installation, municipal facilities construction, water conservancy project construction and building materials markets. Today, I want to share with you that crawler excavators should be driven with caution during the running-in period:
1. Crawler excavators that are in the running-in period should hang a sign with the words "running-in period" in a conspicuous place so that relevant personnel can pay attention to the use regulations during the running-in period and remove it after the running-in period expires.
2. During the running-in period, the engine should be decelerated by 30% and run at a deceleration load of 20%-30%. No one shall remove the lead seal of the engine speed limiter. It can be removed under the supervision of technical personnel after the running-in period expires.
3. It is strictly forbidden to slam the accelerator when starting the engine. When the engine is started at low temperature, it should be preheated for 20-50 seconds and then started immediately. After the engine is started, run at idle speed for 3-5 minutes. The speed and load can be increased only when the cooling water temperature rises to 40 degrees.
4. The technical preparation before starting the engine, the technical requirements during operation, and the technical work before and after stopping the engine shall be carried out in accordance with the general mechanical operating procedures or the requirements of the engine manual.
5. During the running-in period, you should always pay attention to the operation of each mechanism of the crawler excavator, check the working temperature of each bearing, gear and friction pair, and observe whether the hydraulic system has leakage. For abnormal phenomena during operation, stop the machine immediately to check the cause and eliminate it.
During the running-in period of the crawler excavator, remember to regularly add grease, replace engine oil and gear oil, and frequently check whether the instrument panel and switches are normal, and do not generate load on the engine body. After the running-in period, you need to do some maintenance.
